Happy dog and the room

http://coachvinnym.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/dirty-apartment-crappy-apartment-interior-cluttered-messy-bedroom-unmade-bed-soiled-dirty-stained-carpet-poor-bad-home-staging-dirty-apartment-move-out.jpg

I have a happy dog in my bedroom. He’s just adorable and I love him. I am his master and we always try to keep our room clean and tidy. What happens is when you enter the room, the dog sees you, and when he sees you he just goes crazy. When you’re in, everybody is happy, though no one gets happier than the dog. When he sees you, he runs all over the place, jumping on the bed and messing everything.

In other hand when you go it’s only the dog, me and the bedroom again, but it is not the same as it was before.

My clothes are scattered all over the floor, the sheets are dirty and I see he had spilled coffee on my favorite white shirt.

I don’t get mad whatsoever. The dog is not guilty, neither are you, but I still have to clean everything up again, and it takes some of my precious time and energy to do it.

This is why I want you to stop entering my bedroom, so the dog won’t get too excited again to make a mess out of my life. You’ll always be welcome to enter it, but be aware of what happens after ~and if ~you leave.

Sorry for that, everything is fine. It’s just the dog… He’s not for everybody.

Pedro Álvares Cabral — alt story (Part One)

Age of Discovery. The day is March, 9th of 1500.

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS PURELY FICTIONAL.

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/6a/Pedro_Alvares_Cabral.jpg/220px-Pedro_Alvares_Cabral.jpg

The Royal Family of Portugal Empire led by King Manuel I has sent a fleet of 13 ships in a mission to expand the kingdom’s plans to return with valuable spices and establish trade relations with India ~who were the big players on those days. Napoleon was rushing all over Europe and the British and the French were already establishing themselves in Newfoundland and The New World. Pedro was the Major Capitain of the whole fleet, and blessed they were from the Church.

It was known from big thinkers of that a New World would be soon to be discovered by men, despite of the Inquisition’s desire to destroy every one of them since the Earth was flat and anyone who would dare to sail away from the promise land would suffer the consequences from God, amen. What happens is that Pedro was a very curious and brave man, so he decided to figure that out for himself ~and the Indian mission was a great alibi for it.

Cabral’s friend Vasco da Gama had discovered a route around Africa’s coast to the Indian land. His reward was the cinnamon and the pepper. It was sort of safe, although it was a really long journey. The man was hungry and he couldn’t wait three months to reach that exquisite land. This is when a wind of change set them out of their route. He probably thought ‘if the Earth is really a globe, we should reach the Indians by crossing the Atlantic’. So he did missed his cartographic calculus and the fleet was heading West instead of South after departing Cape Verde on the 22nd of March, after thirteen days of sailing.

The next day a nau commanded by a friend of his simply disappeared from sight. Maybe it was a great and alarming sign that they were not supposed to be heading that direction. Even overseas, no one can escape from God’s sight. Later on that night, Pedro has had a really hard time thinking and trying to be understood by God about his noble plans.

~ What would you do with all the treasures across the Sea, Pedro?

~ I am honestly just acting out of fear, Almighty.

~ What do you fear the most, my son?

~ The men. Their greed scares me off them, Lord.

~ So you prefer to risk the life I gave you at the Sea than at the land?

~ Yes, Lord.

~ Why then, Pedro?

~ I know exactly what the men are capable of. I just can’t tell the same about the Sea.

~ I like the way you think, boy.

It was half 3 a.m., so Pedro was awakened by a rant of fear from his tripulation. What a thunderstorm.

The first thing that came at his mind before writing all of that down was: “I’ll give you three weeks to think about it.

… to be continued.

A utilidade das moscas

A inspiração me acordou às 4h37. Acontece.

https://goo.gl/images/H2q4G3

Eu adoro observar a natureza.

Minha amiga franzia a testa tentando entender alguma coisa.

If thought is life
And strength & breath;
And the want
Of thought is death;

Then am I
A happy fly,
If I live,
Or if I die.

Deixe viver, deixe ficar.

On farewells

On farewells

If there ever has been a constant in nature, it is the change. I am a big admirer of how things grow and decay, then transform and regrow, and that really makes me sort of agree with one of most famous’ Buddha teachings: that living is suffering. But the nature of suffering is attachment.

We as humans tend to stick to every moment of joy and happiness as if there would never be another chance to be happy again. In basic physics ~which I sort of hate by the way ~we may empirically figure out that for every light directed onto an object might project a shadow on the surface it currently is. We won’t go further to discuss the dark side of things because the purpose here is to focus on the present moment, where the only constant is the change.

Seneca in his book Epistulae morales ad Lucilium discussed a lot about that between 63 and 65 d.C. on how to live a good life. Quote in my translation from a translation in Portuguese (so gimme a break if you’re messing):

“Can you indicate me somebody who values its time, values its day, and understand that one dies daily? There is where we fail ~we think that death is awaiting us in the future, but part of it is already past. Any time that has passed belongs to death.”

Epistulae I ~ “from the economy of time”

So the truth at least to me is, you should be ready to say not only our byes, but our farewells to people we may not encounter again in our lifetimes. That might be extremely hard seeing people we met before only through screens if we’re distant, or could be worse. Things can always get worse, oh yeah.

I once met a lovely girl in Dublin, Ireland in my earlier days in the country where I lived for about 20 months. I swore to god she was the ~love of my life ~ and that I would never let her go. But she was only in town for a Christmas holiday. I even tried to make that work and the girl seemed to correspond, but fate sometimes can be a real austere teacher. I visited her in Barcelona where she was living for the next two months, but then she had to go again. That stabbed a naive boy in the chest real hard. The moment in the train trying to get ready to be able to say we would meet again without being cheesy. Oh god. When the plane landed back in Ireland, it was freezing cold. It froze even a warm hearted boy for so long.

Thankfully though, the Amazon is hot as hell. Let’s correct this ~hot as heaven.

It is well known from an attentive reader that every piece of scrap, whether is in text form, or art, or image, sound, whatever comes to mind… Every piece of crap is made of three parts which are very important.

The author is that guy who for some reason decides that the thing he made is somehow able to be understandable by another person, which we quote, the observer.

The observer is the person, or thing, or anything that has enough sensory skills to understand ~or to try to ~that piece of crap the author has just made.

The crap is that single thing created by the author when he thought something from the toilet before he flushed that out to the world.

So…

There are no relationship between the authorthe observer and the crap. It’s just the way it is.

As this website suggests, the author is just a single medium in which the crap made its way out to the world.

If there’s any complaint to be made, it should be directed straight to the Creator of the Whole Thing, whose food was provided by Him to feed a hungry man down there.

Thank you and have a good time reading our shit.

UFC is now live

Enfim chegava a última música.

O artista completou:

— CD, não. Melhor que CD, pois é ao vivo.

O careta mexia no celular e sorriu. Ele só ouve música no Spotify.
